A new(ish) micropub. Cycling themed, from the name to the interior décor touches. The inside is fairly clean and clinical despite attempts at homeliness; it lacks a ‘lived-in’ feel. Despite there being a few punters in there was little in the way of atmosphere on a grey Saturday afternoon. Point of interest were the bogs “like the honeycomb maze in Tekeshi's Castle” commented a companion. A number of the brewery’s beers on across the pumps and taps (with some guest ciders also). I went for the Bab Mild (NBSS 2, first one out for quite some time) IPA (NBSS 4), Through & Off (NBSS 3). Cobs were available but these were the poorest examples I’ve come across in the Black Country, just small soft doughy rolls. I wanted to like the place but struggled, really. The beers are good though. 6.5

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Wheelie Thirsty

Fixed Wheel Brewery outlet, larger inside than the second, short-lived branch in Lye, and perhaps more of a mini-pub than a micro one since it has two linked rooms plus some wooden benches out on the front patio area. Plainly furnished and sparsely decorated, with a few cycling-related features about the place. With two banks of three handpumps, I found five of their own beers - including the Whitey Australian Pale (£3.30) - plus Oakham Inferno as a guest. Additionally, up to 17 further beers and ciders can be dispensed from taps on the side wall behind the counter, and the selection of 14 available on my visit offered a diverse range.
